<p>No. My argument is almost the opposite: remove the money obsession so civilization can organize human effort around things that actually produce life, capability and family flourishing.<\/p>\n\n    <p>The key phrase is <strong>make the world truly productive again<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"core-priority\">\n      <p>Trott Bailey Family Civilization is being organized around a different priority: <strong>family flourishing through civilization-wide free access to resources and capabilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n      <p class=\"resources\">Housing. Clothing. Food. Water. Energy. Transport. Health. Education. Tools. Land access. Materials. Knowledge. The ability to make, repair, grow, learn and contribute.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <p>Right now, enormous amounts of human effort can be counted as economic activity even when they mainly administer scarcity, move money around, duplicate work, repair damage created elsewhere, advertise, finance, insure, collect payments or manage access to things people need.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"gdp-box\">\n      <p>So brush the dust off GDP and look underneath it.<\/p>\n\n      <p>What did we physically grow? What did we build? What useful capability increased? What became more abundant? What is being counted twice? What is redundant, costly or wasteful?<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"family-test\">\n      <h3>The Family-Life Test<\/h3>\n\n      <p>Did all this supposed productivity actually make family life better? Do husbands and wives have enough time together? Do parents have enough time with their children? Can families access good housing, food, clothing, water, energy, transport, healthcare and education without spending most of their lives stressed about paying for them? Are people healthier? Are they rested? Are families secure?<\/p>\n\n      <p>If GDP rises while family life becomes harder to live, then we need to ask what all that productivity is actually producing.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <p class=\"wash-eyes\">Hurry up and wash the money dust out of your eyes.<\/p>\n\n    <section class=\"china\">\n      <h2>Here Is an Example of What I&#8217;m Trying to Say<\/h2>\n\n      <p>China looks good on paper in terms of GDP. But ask the right questions and you will quickly see what I see: many of her capabilities are being misused, and her priorities as a nation are disordered.<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"answer\">\n        <p><strong>Do husbands and wives have enough time together? No.<\/strong> Chinese enterprise employees averaged 48.6 working hours per week in 2025.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"answer\">\n        <p><strong>Do parents have enough time with their children? No.<\/strong> A national study of children under three found 43.4% receiving weekly care from relatives, with grandparents providing 90% of that relative care. Grandparents loving and helping their grandchildren is not the problem. The problem is when the family arrangement depends on grandparents carrying so much childcare because parents are pulled into work.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <p>Young people are also telling China something. Marriage registrations fell sharply in 2024. They recovered somewhat in 2025, but the wider pressure around marriage, employment, housing and raising children has not disappeared.<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"credit\">\n        <p><strong>Are people healthier? Yes. Give China her credit.<\/strong> Life expectancy reached 79 years in 2024 and 79.25 in 2025, while maternal and infant mortality continued falling. China has come far.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <div class=\"answer\">\n        <p><strong>Are people well rested? No.<\/strong> China&#8217;s 2026 sleep-health report put average nightly sleep at 6.97 hours, with 48.5% reporting sleep anxiety and about 65% experiencing sleep problems once or twice a week.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <p>So yes, China has real capability, strong infrastructure and enormous manufacturing power.<\/p>\n\n      <p><strong>But she can go much farther once she reorders around what truly matters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n      <p>Even me, World Ruler Sher, calling city living \u201cgood\u201d simply because the infrastructure looks impressive compared with much of the rest of the world would be conceding to foolishness. Roads, towers, trains and delivery systems are capabilities. They are not the final test of whether human life has been organized well.<\/p>\n\n      <p>Now look at clothing.<\/p>\n\n      <p>China has become extraordinarily capable at manufacturing enormous amounts of clothing cheaply and sending it across the Earth.<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"polyester\">\n        <p>But much of this cheap clothing is polyester.<\/p>\n\n        <p class=\"polyester-word\">Polyester everywhere.<\/p>\n\n        <p>The world can look as though it has achieved fantastic clothing abundance while good natural-fiber clothing becomes harder to find and more expensive. Try finding simple cotton panties and compare the choices with polyester and polyester blends. Look at sports clothing: some of the richest athletes on Earth are sweating profusely in garments made largely from polyester.<\/p>\n\n        <p><strong>What kind of progress is that?<\/strong><\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <p>The problem is not China&#8217;s manufacturing capability. That capability is useful. The problem is what it is organized around.<\/p>\n\n      <p>A truly productive civilization goes farther back.<\/p>\n\n      <div class=\"productive-chain\">\n        <p>Grow cotton.<\/p>\n        <p>Grow flax.<\/p>\n        <p>Raise silkworms.<\/p>\n        <p>Develop fibers.<\/p>\n        <p>Spin thread.<\/p>\n        <p>Weave and engineer excellent textiles.<\/p>\n        <p>Train people in cutting, sewing, dyeing, fitting and textile development.<\/p>\n        <p>Improve the machinery.<\/p>\n        <p>Preserve the knowledge.<\/p>\n      <\/div>\n\n      <p>Then make beautiful, high-quality clothing freely accessible to families.<\/p>\n\n      <p><strong>Now we are talking about real productive capacity.<\/strong><\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <p>Run the same thinking through food, housing, water, energy, medicine, transport, tools and education.<\/p>\n\n    <p>We already have enormous abundance and capability on Earth.<\/p>\n\n    <p>So first, wash out your eyes.<\/p>\n\n    <p>See what is actually abundant. See what capability already exists. See the waste. See the redundancy. See what families actually need.<\/p>\n\n    <p>Then organize the existing abundance properly and freely. Then check for true scarcity gaps and fill those to an abundant level if needed.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"starting-line\">\n      <p><strong>This is only the first phase.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n      <p>It gets us back to the starting line.<\/p>\n\n      <p>But at least at the starting line, people on Earth can breathe. Families can rest.
