Should I let you stuff my mouth closed with money to live a unfulfilled life? This thing that loses value at a whim, gains value at a whim? So you want me to yo yo my life away chasing money? Must I a human being bend at the knees to paper? Become subservient once it enters a room? Smile when I don’t want to? Greet when I don’t want to? Continue working even if my lumbar is breaking? No! Even if I had all the money in the world, would I actually be free?<\/p>\n\n

I would still have to depend on Money Zombies for the things money supposedly buys: food, medicine, housing, technology, transport and everything else.<\/p>\n\n

And if the people and institutions producing those things have lost their integrity, their patience, their thoughtfulness, their craftsmanship, their love and their ability to make anything of quality, then what exactly is all that money buying me?<\/p>\n\n

\n Money cannot buy back the humanity that has already disappeared.\n <\/div>\n\n

So why should a human life kneel to an invented object at all?<\/p>\n\n

Why should paper determine whether I rest, whether I smile, whether I greet somebody, whether I keep working while my lumbar is breaking, whether I stay with my children, whether I stay with my husband, whether I can eat, heal or live somewhere safe?<\/p>\n\n

Why should I yo-yo my life away chasing something that loses value at a whim and gains value at a whim?<\/p>\n\n

Why should I become subservient the moment money enters the room?<\/p>\n\n

\n I should not.<\/strong>\n <\/div>\n\n

There is no room for it.<\/p>\n\n

No compromise with it.<\/p>\n\n

No reasoning with it.<\/p>\n\n

No attempt to make the disease gentler.<\/p>\n\n

\n The money craze itself has to be eradicated from the civilization we are building.\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n
