Behind the Scenes of TVJ, Smile Jamaica Before the Blogger of the Year interview |
On Tuesday February 5, 2013 I was featured on TVJ’s morning time program Smile Jamaica where I was interviewed by Simone Clarke-Cooper and Archibald Gordon. We discussed the Blogger of the Year, the Kimroy Bailey Foundation and Renewable Energy in Jamaica. This interview was made possible after Corve DaCosta, organizer of the Jamaica Blog Awards was contacted where he then refered me to do the interview. At the Jamaica Blog Awards show 2013 I was acknowledged for Best Personal Blog, Top Blog Post of 2012 and Jamaica Blogger of the Year on this basis I was contacted by Smile Jamaica Producer Khadene Foote regarding my availability to do a feature on Tuesday.

Prior to going on air I was super nervous, had the chills and anxious to have it all over but once the camera started rolling and the calm voice of Simone kicked in and the laid back posture of Archibald it was smooth sailing from there.
After the interview my dear friend Tarick Edwards and I walked from the RJR studios to Half-Way Tree, staying true to the concept of 100% Renewable Jamaica. One does not necessarily need to have an array of solar panels and a wind turbine at their home to represent renewable energy and going green. You can start by consuming less energy in small ways, such as walking a part of the journey, conserving at home and in the office etc. What if the entire Jamaica should get up early take one less taxi/bus to work once per week. This would equate to millions where gas purchases to transport us is concerned.

After about a good 30+ minutes and some sweat we reached out destination and head home, unfortunately we couldn’t walk that too :)… The TVJ interview was a grand Experience. Hope you enjoyed it, kindly add your comments below to share your thoughts.
