Trott Bailey Family Civilization

What Exactly Am I Leaving My Children?

What am I leaving Keilah, Kaleeyon and Kezidek—and the four children I already plan to welcome, Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou? A job search, exhaustion and instructions for surviving the same failed system? Hell no.

My children have names

I am not speaking about some abstract future generation.

I am speaking about my children.

Keilah My daughter.
Kaleeyon My daughter.
Kezidek My son.
Kultan One of the four children I still plan to welcome.
Keslev Already named and already included in the future I am building.
Kayonai Not yet born, but not absent from my responsibility.
Kaitou Already part of the family future Big King KB and I are preparing.

These are not nameless people who may appear one day.

I already know who I am building for.

I refuse to know my children by name while preparing no worthwhile inheritance for their lives.
Let us examine the claim

I am told to work hard for my children.

Fine.

Let us examine what Keilah, Kaleeyon and Kezidek actually receive from that arrangement.

I wake up.

I leave home.

I travel into a clogged city.

I spend the strongest hours of my day working inside somebody else’s system.

I return tired.

I have little time to think.

Little time to build.

Little time to teach Keilah.

Little time to listen closely to Kaleeyon.

Little time to prepare strong ground beneath Kezidek’s feet.

Little time to build for Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou before they even arrive.

The salary comes.

Food takes some.

Rent takes some.

Transport takes some.

Bills take the rest.

The month ends.

Then I do it again.

After all that labour, what exactly remains for my seven children?
The inheritance test

Does Kezidek inherit my job?

When I retire, does the company say:

“Thank you for your thirty years. Send Kezidek on Monday. The position now belongs to him.”

No.

Does Keilah inherit the office?

No.

Does Kaleeyon inherit the machinery?

No.

Do Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou inherit the customer base, the building or the profits?

No.

The position returns to the company.

The office remains theirs.

The machinery remains theirs.

The building remains theirs.

The customer base remains theirs.

The knowledge systems remain theirs.

The profit remains theirs.

What do my children receive?

Stories about how hard their mother worked?
A photograph of me wearing an employee badge?
Advice about updating a résumé?
Instructions for impressing an interviewer?
Warnings to begin saving early?
My exhaustion, damaged health and unused holidays?
Is that what I am supposed to call an inheritance?
The old family legacy

Follow in my futile footsteps, children.

Am I supposed to tell Keilah:

Study hard so you can become useful to an employer.

Am I supposed to tell Kaleeyon:

Move into a crowded city, work under pressure and ask permission to rest.

Am I supposed to tell Kezidek:

Become a walking bank transfer. Spend your strongest years away from your future wife and children so the bills can be paid.

Am I supposed to prepare Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou for the same trap before they are even born?

Study hard.
Get qualifications.
Find a job.
Move to the city.
Sit in traffic.
Pay rent.
Buy food at rising prices.
Ask permission for holidays.
Answer messages after work.
Try not to become sick.
Try not to be replaced.
Try to save whatever remains after the system eats.
Then teach your children to do the same.

Is this the Trott Bailey family legacy?

One generation handing the next generation instructions for remaining employable?

Perhaps after five generations of faithful service, one of us will finally own the office chair.

Hell no.

The downward inheritance

I work harder. My children begin with less.

The old world calls this responsibility.

But look at the future it is preparing for Keilah, Kaleeyon, Kezidek, Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou.

Higher food prices.
Higher housing costs.
More crowded cities.
Longer travel.
Fewer holidays.
More surveillance.
More pressure.
More isolation.
Less land.
Less time.
Less family closeness.
Less room to think.
More stress.
More illness.
More debt.
More dependence on employers, landlords, banks and distant systems.
That is not progress. That is decline wearing a necktie.

A civilization should allow Big King KB and me to place our children on higher ground.

Instead, the old system expects parents to run themselves into the earth merely to stop their children from falling immediately.

Then, when the parents collapse, the system turns toward the children and says:

Keilah, your turn.
Kaleeyon, your turn.
Kezidek, your turn.
Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou—your turn.
Is this their future?

A rented room, a stressful job and permission to take a holiday?

Is Keilah to spend more time with strangers than with her own family?

Is Kaleeyon to live among millions of people and still feel alone?

Is Kezidek to grow into a world where fatherhood is reduced to earning money?

Are Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou to enter a world where sex is commercialized, trivialized and separated from lifelong commitment?

A world where sexually transmitted disease, betrayal, pornography, loneliness and moral confusion are treated as ordinary background conditions?

A world where young people are encouraged to experiment with their bodies before they have built the judgment, commitment and family structure required to protect a future child?

A world where marriage is delayed because housing is expensive?

Children are delayed because life is unstable?

Family is delayed because careers come first?

Then people wake up older, exhausted and alone, wondering why nobody is beside them?

Is this the future prepared for my seven children? Hell no.
What a real inheritance looks like

I refuse to pass Keilah, Kaleeyon and Kezidek a job search.

I refuse to welcome Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou into a world where their first great task is purchasing permission to live.

Big King KB and I intend to pass on something our children can stand on.

Land Ground that produces and can support future families.
Family Compounds Homes prepared for marriage, children, work, rest and expansion.
Orchards Mature food systems already bearing fruit.
Animals Living production, stewardship knowledge and growing capability.
Water Systems Collection, storage, movement, cleaning and productive use.
Workshops Places where ideas become tools, garments, buildings and machinery.
Machines Equipment that removes drudgery and expands what the family can build.
Food Preservation Systems that allow one harvest to continue feeding the family.
Repair Knowledge The ability to understand, maintain and restore what they inherit.
Records What we tried, what failed, what worked and why.
Strong Family Life Marriage, siblings, children and elders held together.
Freedom A life not held hostage by a wage, landlord or money gate.
I do not want my children to inherit advice. I want them to inherit capability.
Not a résumé—a foundation

This is what I want to tell all seven of my children.

“Here is the land.”
“Here is how the water system works.”
“Here is how we maintain the orchard.”
“Here are the animals and the records required to care for them.”
“Here is the machine your father helped build.”
“Here is the workshop.”
“Here is the record of what failed.”
“Here is what your mother discovered.”
“Here is what still needs improvement.”
“Here is the foundation. Build further.”
That is an inheritance.
The generational law

Let my children begin where Big King KB and I finished.

Keilah should not spend her whole life trying to reach the point her parents finally reached when they became old.

Kaleeyon should not have to rebuild from bare ground what her family already learned how to establish.

Kezidek should not begin manhood with nothing but instructions for becoming employable.

Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou should not arrive only to discover that their parents spent decades building permanent systems for other people.

If we establish orchards, our children should begin with mature trees.

If we improve the soil, they should begin with living soil.

If we build workshops, they should begin with tools.

If Big King KB develops machinery, they should begin with production capability.

If World Ruler Sher records the civilizational reasoning, they should begin with understanding.

If we build family compounds, they should not begin their marriages in rented panic.

They begin on ground already prepared.

Then they add.

Improve.

Discover.

Expand.

Correct what we got wrong.

Leave even more for their children.

Big King KB and World Ruler Sher build the ground. Keilah, Kaleeyon, Kezidek, Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou begin standing.
Labour must become inheritance

The old system turns parents’ years into rubbish.

It turns years into salary.

Salary into bills.

Bills into receipts.

Receipts into rubbish.

Then Keilah, Kaleeyon and Kezidek inherit the same need to sell their time.

Then Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou are expected to follow behind them.

No.

Let my labour become land for my children.
Let it become trees they can harvest.
Let it become animals they can care for and multiply.
Let it become water systems that continue moving.
Let it become machines they can understand and improve.
Let it become stored food.
Let it become knowledge.
Let it become homes where my grandchildren are welcome before they are born.
Let it become systems that reduce how hard my children must struggle merely to live.
Let it become freedom.
Let it become delight.
The refusal

My seven children will not inherit my exhaustion.

I will not hand Keilah a résumé and call it a legacy.

I will not teach Kaleeyon how to endure the same trap and call it preparation

I will not tell Kezidek that manhood means becoming exhausted while owning nothing that feeds his family.

I will not plan Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou only to deliver them into a system that consumes their lives.

I will not spend my life building somebody else’s permanent system while leaving my own children nothing permanent.

Hell no.

Keilah will inherit land that produces.

Kaleeyon will inherit trees that bear fruit.

Kezidek will inherit tools that build and machines that reduce labour.

Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou will enter a family civilization that was already expecting them.

All seven will inherit knowledge that remains.

A family that knows them.

A moral foundation that protects them.

A civilization with a place already prepared for their lives.

They will not begin from zero.
They will not spend their youth purchasing the starting line.
Keilah, Kaleeyon, Kezidek, Kultan, Keslev, Kayonai and Kaitou will not inherit our jobs. They will inherit what Big King KB and World Ruler Sher built.
And they will build more.
