I am making a set of very specific claims, and they can be stated plainly:

1. Adam and Eve were the first human beings, before modern racial categories existed. There was no “Black race,” “white race,” “Asian race,” or any other preset human box standing over them. It was Adam, Eve, and God.

2. Eve gave birth to children who looked radically different from one another. She had dark-skinned children. She had light-skinned children. She had children with features we would now call Asian, African, European, and other human appearances that may not fit neatly into any modern racial category at all.

3. I am saying that this human diversity was already present in Eve’s own children. I am not saying Eve merely carried some distant possibility that only showed itself thousands of years later. I am saying she actually gave birth to children who displayed enormous human diversity from the beginning.

4. Modern racial groupings may be diluted, mixed, altered, or concentrated versions of the much wider diversity that existed among Eve’s first children and descendants. Over thousands of years, people mixed with one another, spread into different regions, separated into populations, and lived under different climate conditions. Certain combinations of features became more common in certain places. Other features blended, disappeared from some family lines, intensified in others, or changed through generations of intermixing and environmental conditions.

5. Human diversity came before racial ideology. Skin colour, facial features, hair texture, eye shape, body features, and all the other visible differences among human beings existed before people created stories about racial superiority, inferiority, purity, contamination, separation, or who was supposedly allowed to belong with whom.

6. There was no racial hatred in the beginning because there were no racial stereotypes to inherit. Adam and Eve were not sitting around teaching their children that one skin colour was superior, another was ugly, one kind of face was desirable, another was inferior, or that somebody should be hated because of the way God allowed that person to look. Those ideas had not been built yet.

7. Cain hated Abel because Abel had better character than Cain and was more favoured by God. Abel’s character, conduct, and offering pleased God in a way Cain’s did not. Cain saw the difference. He saw Abel receiving God’s favour while he himself did not receive the same response. Instead of correcting his own character, Cain became angry, jealous, and resentful toward his brother. Cain did not hate Abel because Abel happened to have darker skin, lighter skin, different hair, or different facial features. Cain hated Abel because Abel was the better man, and God treated him accordingly.

8. The first recorded hatred between human beings was therefore rooted in jealousy, resentment, wounded pride, character, and God’s favour, not skin colour. Cain could see that Abel’s character was better than his own and that Abel was more favoured by God. Whatever colour Abel’s skin was, whatever texture his hair had, whatever his eyes looked like, whatever facial features he carried, none of that was the reason Cain hated him. The hatred came from who Abel was and the favour Abel received from God.

9. Modern people have taken ordinary human variation and turned it into an enormous social drama. Different faces, different skin colours, different hair textures, different eye shapes, and different physical features are different expressions of the same original human family.

10. Racial hatred is absurd. People are hating, ranking, separating, mistreating, oppressing, and killing one another over differences that existed inside the same human family from the very beginning.
