Answers before you install.
Does it work on a regular WordPress site?
Yes. The plugin supports single-site workflows as well as WordPress Multisite. Network-wide sharing naturally applies to multisite installations.
Does shared media mean copying every file?
No. The shared-media model uses indexed references and proxy records to reuse the source asset. It does not require physical copies for ordinary cross-site reuse.
Can I keep my current theme?
Yes. Big King Media adds media experiences to WordPress rather than requiring a new site theme. Shortcodes and media routes help place those experiences where they belong.
Are frontend uploads open to everyone?
Upload and management actions are permission-aware. Site owners decide which users are allowed to submit or manage media.
Can I replace a media file without making a new attachment?
Big King Media includes a Replace Media workflow that updates the file behind an existing attachment. When extensions change, some existing hardcoded URLs may also need updating.
Does it include audio and video?
Yes. Princess Keilah Studio, Photofall, the lightbox and the music-video system cover different audio and visual presentation needs.
Is AI alt text required?
No. Kaleeyon AI Alt Text is an optional assisted workflow. It requires configuration and human review remains useful for accuracy and accessibility.
