BEAUTY, MOVEMENT, AND THE JOY OF BEING ALIVECHAPTER 36

Kultan, Kalsheron, and Places with Their Own Life

Alanya taught us that the character of a place can change how a couple spends its days. South Korea taught us what sophisticated infrastructure can achieve. Brazil is teaching us how a living landscape can support both nourishment and beauty. When Sher authors districts, she brings those distinct observations together without turning every place into a copy of the last.

Kultan is shaped around water, islands, orchards, service systems, movement and beautiful public life. Its whale-like service bodies, family rest environments and lagoon activities form an infrastructure that invites people to linger. A vessel’s practical needs for charging, water, cleaning and maintenance can be handled elegantly while families dine, stroll, learn and enjoy the view.

Kalsheron answers a very different environment. Winter gardens, orchards, warm-stone food culture and charming cold-climate houses form a neighbourhood where snow does not force life into isolation. We design warmth into buildings, routes and clothing while preserving a sense of lightness, play and beauty. The child still has friends to visit. The parents still have places to be together.

These districts share the same civilizational principles and retain their own personalities. The environment should make daily life better because it has been intelligently designed for the people and ecology there.
